Because obviously, I am a slacker. It’s been four months, FOUR. I haven’t written one word for this poor blog. I’m surprised I still get visitors (Thank you, by the way).
For the past four months, I have been busy hustling, working, and planning for a new adventure which I will embark on this coming Friday. I am heading to Croatia. Yup, you heard that right, CROATIA. Now, before you ask, “Why Croatia?” like so many others have, hear me out. A year ago, I was invited on this trip, the plan was to sail around the Southern Dalmatian Coast, in the Adriatic Sea, island hopping for two weeks. To be honest, I had never thought about visiting Croatia, it was never on any bucket list of mine. Before I did any research, I just said, “Ok!” and signed up.
As I began looking into it, I realized that this country had everything, from the beaches, to the cuisine, influences, and history. It had “Perfect Summer Vacation” written all over it!
Croatia is one of the top five sailing regions in the world, and when we are going, it just so happens to be Yacht Week. It’s biggest competitors are St. Tropez and Mykonos, and I love when I can be ahead of the game as Croatia is not in most American’s travel plans. For the Europeans however, nine million of them flock to this gorgeous region every summer for their Holiday. Nine million. As per the usual, the Europeans know best.
This adventure will begin in Trogir, where we will pick up our four bedroom catamaran, and head to Split. Over the course of the next 15 days, we will sail to Brac, Palmizana, and Hvar, Vis, Korcula, Mljet, and hopefully make it to Dubrovnik before heading back with a tentative schedule for which places we shall hit. On our last day/night, we will be back in split, partying our butts off at The Ultra Music Festival, making sure that plane ride home, the following morning, is terrible.
Expect updates from my trip through
and one or two updates through this blog!
I cannot wait to share this amazing adventure with you!
